It is home to 13 different primate species, including the largest population of endangered chimpanzees in Uganda. In addition to chimpanzees, the park hosts other primate species such as the red colobus monkey, L’Hoest’s monkey, blue monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey, and the rare red-tailed monkey. Bird watchers will be delighted by the presence of over 375 bird species, including the African grey parrot, green-breasted pitta, and the great blue turaco.
