East Africa is a multi-cultural region made up of 100s of ethnic groups. The most dominant ethnic groups are the Baganda , Basoga, Bagisu, and the Itesot in Uganda.

In Kenya the dominant ethnic groups are the Kikuyu and the Luhya.

The Sukuma and the Nyamwezi both of Bantu origin are the dominant ethnic groups.

In Rwanda the largest ethnic groups are Tutsi and Hutu.
